Today, I had my second appointment in the last seven days with my rheumatologist, Dr. Clayton. My lupus is spiraling out of control and I was so thankful to be able to see her today. It’s only my third visit with her overall and I have to say that I love her. She listened to what I had to say and didn’t dismiss me. She acted swiftly on her concerns by getting me in for tests within the hour. We came up with a medication plan that we were both happy with until we can either figure out what is happening to me.
Because lupus is still such a mystery, it can be quite frustrating. It becomes excruciatingly frustrating when your doctor doesn’t take you seriously or dismisses what you are feeling. Dr. Clayton is quite refreshing and I’m so glad she chose to start her practice in my community.
Who are you thankful for today?
